Canterbury will host a monthly virtual Trivia Night, one each third Thursday of the month starting in September. Each Trivia Night will feature unique questions and an alumni spotlight!

Our virtual Trivia Nights are designed for individual competitors. Each participant will play on a separate device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Players earn higher scores by submitting correct answers more quickly than their opponents. Each paying participant will be eligible to win an electronic gift card. You may choose to share your ticket with someone else in your home and work together as a team to answer the questions, but you may have to split the prize if you win.

Our Trivia Nights will be family-friendly in the sense that they will not contain any vulgar language or inappropriate trivia questions. Some questions may even feature more youthful topics, such as Disney characters. Your children are welcome to be a part of this experience! However, since many topics may be beyond your children’s ability level, we suggest that they help you answer questions rather than compete by themselves.

Each Virtual Trivia Night will be approximately one hour long, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. EDT.

Each Trivia Night will consist of four rounds of trivia with a brief intermission featuring an Alumni Spotlight.

You will need a computer to join the Zoom webinar with our host. You do not need to have a Zoom account, but you will need to follow a couple of simple prompts to join the webinar once you click the Zoom link. You will also need one smartphone, tablet, or computer per participant in order to play trivia.

rior to the event, you will receive a link to join a Zoom webinar. You will not be visible to our host nor will you be able to speak to our host. Follow the easy prompts to join the webinar. To compete in the trivia rounds, you will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer. You will open a browser to crowd.live, enter some basic information (name, city, email address), and then enter a code that will be given to you at the start of the event. That’s all you need to do! Please note that since it’s all virtual, players are on the honor system to not look up answers.

Games are scored automatically by the trivia program we are using called Crowdpurr. Points are accrued based on the speed with which you submit a correct answer. The prizes will be digital gift cards to a place of your choosing, such as Starbucks, Kroger, Target, or Amazon.
