Total Philanthropy to Canterbury School

The faculty and students at Canterbury School are fortunate to benefit from the generous support of each member of our community annually. Through gifts to the Canterbury Fund, Laughing Cavalier, Special Gifts and Tribute/Endowed gifts, collectively these donations make a tremendous difference. Combinations of gifts through a variety of giving opportunities during the fiscal year will be recognized annually as Canterbury Giving in our Impact Report.

Canterbury Fund

Known simply as the Annual Fund until the 2012-13 giving year, we ask every member of the Canterbury community to support the Canterbury Fund with an annual contribution. We are humbled and grateful to every donor!

The Laughing Cavalier

The Laughing Cavalier began in 1985 as a dinner featuring a named comedian; hence the name Laughing Cavalier! Today, the event is a gala fundraiser that benefits Canterbury School. The event, a highlight of the year, is always a great success and we appreciate the support from businesses and individuals at each level.

Support for Laughing Cavalier, and thus contributing to a donor's Total Philanthropy amount, is also categorized from Event Underwriting, Live Auction, Silent Auction, Special Focus, and ticketing.
