Students Earn Top Honors on National French Exam

Students in both the middle school and high school French programs achieved outstanding results on the 2026 National French Exam (Le Grand Concours), earning state and national recognition for their language proficiency.

The National French Exam is a prestigious competition that measures students' knowledge of the French language and culture against peers from across the United States. This year, several students distinguished themselves with top rankings and medal-winning performances.

Leading the way was Asher Warren, who earned a perfect score on the Level 1 exam. Warren was awarded a Platinum Medal and achieved an extraordinary first-place ranking in both Indiana and the nation.

Additional Level 1 honorees included Mason Foote and Ben Steinmetz, who each earned Silver Medals and tied for third place in Indiana. Elle Scheele received a Bronze Medal and placed 12th in the state.

At the Advanced Placement (Level 5) level, Clara Satter earned a Gold Medal and captured first place in Indiana. Julia Valcarcel and Zanaiya Limzerwala each received Bronze Medals, finishing third and fourth in the state, respectively. Harper Straka-Kitch and Brooke Lawson also earned top state rankings, placing fifth and sixth.

Middle school students also delivered an impressive performance on the exam. Fatim Marie-Ange Badolo earned a Gold Medal and ranked second in Indiana among eighth-grade participants. Gabrielle Snyder received a Bronze Medal and placed 10th in the state, while Cameron Fulhart earned a Bronze Medal and finished 11th. Charlotte Gillan, Selah Buchanan, and Makenna Holley were recognized with Honorable Mention honors.

These accomplishments reflect the dedication of the students and the strength of the school's French language program. Congratulations to all of the students who represented the school so well through their hard work and academic excellence.
