Speech & Debate Celebrations

The Canterbury High School Speech and Debate Team held a celebration of their virtual online season of competition on April 22. Students attended 15 tournaments held throughout the year despite COVID-19 restrictions, and, with the help of several advancements in technology, competed in and judged online tournaments.

Leading the Speech & Debate awards was Nile Adhami '21, who received the following:

  • National Speech & Debate Association National Qualifier - Congressional Debate and International Extemporaneous Speaking
  • National Speech & Debate Association Academic All-American
  • Robert Goodman Persuasive Speaking Award
  • Ronnye Rutledge Career NFL Points Award
