All Inclusive Arts
From age 2 through Grade 12, Canterbury students have every opportunity to experience the arts in a variety of ways. From vocal and instrumental music to drama and dance to visual art and photography, fine arts courses are an important part of the school curriculum.

At Canterbury, every student makes the team. The interscholastic sports program encourages individual participation and achievement by giving every student an opportunity to learn and play sports competitively. This policy of inclusion is at the core of Canterbury athletics.

A Community of Philanthropy
As an independent school, we design our own programs and curriculum and operate without reliance on local, state or federal taxes. Canterbury School relies on tuition income, Canterbury Fund contributions, endowment income and other fundraising activities to support our thriving college preparatory environment.

Retired Teachers Return to Canterbury

Middle School teacher and Canterbury alum Rob Westfall was in his classroom teaching when a group of retired teachers walked in.

"It's my Kindergarten teacher!" a group of students exclaimed when they saw Beth Laipple.

Behind Mrs. Laipple was Judy Anderson. "That's MY Kindergarten teacher!" Westfall exclaimed with excitement.

The halls of Canterbury were filled with moments like this one on Monday, as a group of 27 retired Canterbury teachers returned to campus to sit in on a Lower School Chapel with Mrs. Laipple, visit classes, and share lunch together.
