Canterbury DECA Students Shine at State Conference

March 13, 2025

Canterbury students had an impressive showing at the recent DECA State Career Development Conference (SCDC) in Indianapolis, where they competed alongside 2,500 participants from across Indiana. Students tackled a variety of business-related challenges in areas such as marketing, accounting, and law, demonstrating clear communication, creative thinking, and effective reasoning.

Zannub Anwar '26 and Harper Straka-Kitch '26, along with Abby Posner '25 and Adderly Surack '25, earned DECA Medallions for achieving "Excellence" in their role-play events.

Ishan Ramrakhiani '26 claimed first place in the state in the Financial Consulting Event, earning a spot at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in April. Ishan impressed judges by developing an investment strategy for a college athlete receiving NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) income.

In addition to competition success, Rohan Khatri '26 was elected Vice President of Leadership for Indiana DECA. In this role, Rohan aims to connect experienced chapters with developing programs across the state, promoting collaboration and strategic planning.

Congratulations to all Canterbury DECA participants for their hard work and dedication!
