All Inclusive Arts
From age 2 through Grade 12, Canterbury students have every opportunity to experience the arts in a variety of ways. From vocal and instrumental music to drama and dance to visual art and photography, fine arts courses are an important part of the school curriculum.

Every Student Makes the Team
At Canterbury, every student makes the team. The interscholastic sports program encourages individual participation and achievement by giving every student an opportunity to learn and play sports competitively. This policy of inclusion is at the core of Canterbury athletics.

A Community of Philanthropy
As an independent school, we design our own programs and curriculum and operate without reliance on local, state or federal taxes. Canterbury School relies on tuition income, Canterbury Fund contributions, endowment income and other fundraising activities to support our thriving college preparatory environment.

2023 College Trip Day 4

Today we had visits to Sewanee (University of the South), Fisk University, Belmont University and Vanderbilt University. We met with Canterbury graduates Quinn Saleik '21 at Belmont and Daniel Liu '22 at Vanderbilt. Some students visited museums in downtown Nashville and had lunch at the impressive Assembly Food Hall.

The Grade 11 students were great fun to travel with and we hope they return from the college trip with a clearer picture of what they hope their college experience will be like and a greatly expanded sense of the options that are out there. The College Counseling team looks forward to the weeks and months ahead, getting to know them even better and supporting them through the college process.

We wish to share our profound appreciation for Mr. Campbell, Mrs. Justice, Miss Sengstock, and Mr. Wharton for joining us as chaperones, to our outstanding bus drivers from Royal Excursions, Tom and David, and to the parents who donated bus snacks for the trip.
