Canterbury Swim: Mighty in Spirit!
Canterbury Swim: Mighty in Spirit!
Natalie A. Trout

For 13 years, Tamara Lombard has coached the Canterbury swim and dive team. Her expectations for this season are the same as every other season.

"I work with the athletes in hopes that they will accomplish their goals and have fun being part of a team," Lombard said. "This year we are small in numbers but mighty in spirit!"

Coach Lombard loves everything about coaching swim and dive at Canterbury, from the swimmers, to her assistant coaches, to the athletic department, she says the experience is truly the full package.

When the season started, Lombard had the swimmers introduce themselves and say what they liked best about Canterbury swim. There was a common thread of team camaraderie, positive atmosphere, and fun.

"That's what keeps me coming back!" Lombard said.
