Dear Canterbury Families,
I want to take this time to share important information regarding Canterbury's COVID-19 Safety Guidelines and Protocol. Please take the time to review the following:
- Canterbury will remain in the yellow phase through at least September 23, 2020.
- The Allen County Department of Health recently updated their "symptoms for exclusion consideration" which are symptoms that could exclude a student from the school or school activities. Canterbury School will treat these symptoms on a case by case basis, as they are presented by a student to the nursing staff. We encourage parents to continue to share any previous diagnoses with our school nurses to help mitigate any presented symptoms. The new symptoms per the Allen County DOH include:
• Runny nose
• Congestion
• Chills
• Muscle pain
• Headache
• Shortness of Breath
• Repeated shaking with chills
- Should the nurse's office require a doctor's note, the note must be completed by the student's primary care physician only.
- While in yellow phase, athletics will allow Canterbury School athletes to have no more than two guardians (per household) as spectators for outdoor sporting events and no more than one guardian (per household) as spectators for indoor sporting events. We are not allowing spectators from visiting teams.
As always, thank you for your support of Canterbury!
Warm regards,
David Jackson
Head of School
