![]() Friday, August 20, 2021 Dear Canterbury Community,
We are so excited to welcome the students back to school on Wednesday! As the new school year approaches, several of you have reached out with concerns regarding the state of COVID-19 in our community. Numbers are on the rise, including amongst the local student population at area schools.
In order to ensure that Canterbury remains open and that student and faculty quarantines are limited, at the beginning of the year we will operate under the guidelines found at the link below: Please know that we are constantly evaluating these procedures, and will continue to do so throughout the school year. As a school, Canterbury highly encourages vaccinations for all who are eligible. The survey that we sent out in July gave us some reassuring data in respect to the percentages of our students, parents, and faculty who are vaccinated. In the coming days, we are going to work to establish better data in this regard while still respecting individual privacy. We are in such a better position as a community than we were a year ago and will continue to work towards a pre-pandemic school experience in every aspect possible. This week, I shared with our faculty a Maya Angelou quote that I was reminded of recently: "Every storm runs out of rain."
I hope all of you enjoyed a refreshing summer and are ready for a great school year. Our faculty and staff cannot wait to see you all on Wednesday for the best year ever!
Warmly, 5601 Covington Road • 3210 Smith Road • Fort Wayne, IN 46804 |
