Scholarships
Scholarships are designed to provide access to Canterbury School for life-changing opportunities, fostering a diverse and enriched learning environment for all students.
Canterbury is offering three new transformative scholarships for prospective Grade 9 and 10 students that cover up to 50% of the annual tuition and are renewable for each year the student is enrolled: the Canterbury Academic Veritas Scholarship, the Leadership in Action Scholarship, and the Creative Horizons Scholarship.
These scholarships honor students who excel academically, lead with purpose, or showcase exceptional artistic talent. Recipients join a community committed to academic excellence, leadership in action, and creative exploration, reflecting Canterbury’s mission to prepare students for a life of purpose, passion, and meaning.
All applicants for Grades 9 and 10 are automatically considered for the scholarships. To enhance your candidacy and consideration, we encourage submitting supplemental materials, such as leadership experiences, academic achievements, or creative portfolios, to the admission office.
Canterbury Academic Veritas Scholarship (CAVS)
The Canterbury Academic Veritas Scholarship (CAVS) recognizes students who excel academically and embody a passion for intellectual excellence and truth. Consideration is typically given to students scoring in the 90th percentile or higher on standardized tests, maintaining strong academic records, and receiving exceptional teacher recommendations.
As a CAVS recipient, you’ll access advanced coursework, mentorship, and a community of driven scholars committed to truth and integrity. This program fosters critical thinking, personal growth, and preparation for meaningful impact while contributing to a community that values academic excellence and integrity.
Creative Horizons Scholarship
The Creative Horizons Scholarship celebrates students with exceptional talent and passion across artistic disciplines, including performing arts, visual arts, and innovative interdisciplinary expressions. Designed for artists ready to expand creative boundaries, this scholarship honors those who captivate on stage, craft stunning visual works, or blend art forms into groundbreaking creations.
At Canterbury School, we nurture artistic vision and originality, offering scholarship recipients expert mentorship, state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities to showcase their talents. The Creative Horizons Scholarship empowers students to explore their artistry, collaborate with peers, and redefine possibilities in the arts in our new Fine Arts Center.

Leadership in Action Scholarship
The Canterbury Leadership in Action Scholarship recognizes students with exceptional leadership skills, demonstrated both in and outside the classroom. It honors those who influence positive change through school, community, or extracurricular initiatives, emphasizing strong academics, proven leadership, and the ability to inspire others.
Recipients are distinguished by their ability to lead meaningfully—whether guiding student organizations, spearheading community projects, or excelling in athletics or the arts. This scholarship celebrates individuals who collaborate, motivate peers, and take initiative to shape the world around them.
As Leadership in Action Scholars, students refine their leadership skills through mentorship, workshops, and impactful projects, preparing them to lead with purpose, integrity, and vision in their communities and beyond.
