International Admissions at Canterbury School
In an increasingly global and interdependent world, an educated person understands and appreciates the world beyond one’s immediate home. At Canterbury School, we know that fostering a global perspective and intercultural understanding are part of preparing our children to be global citizens. One way to develop a global perspective and build cross-cultural understanding is through international educational study and exchange.
International Student Program
Canterbury School welcomes highly qualified students from around the world to apply for limited openings in our High School, Grades 9-11. Our learning community provides a nurturing environment, a challenging curriculum, and leadership opportunities. Our graduates are very successful, and gain admissions and scholarships to a wide array of excellent colleges and universities. We partner with Hamden Edux to help international students with the admission process and assist in their transition to the United States. If you are interested in applying to Canterbury School as an international student, please contact Mary Bridich, Hamden Edux Program Manager (email@example.com).
To Apply (does not include exchange students)
All international applicants to Canterbury School (Grades 9-11) must:
- Submit a online application form via Hamden Edux
- Submit official school transcripts for current year plus previous year.
- Submit teacher recommendations from English and Math teachers
- Submit an official English proficiency test report (TOEFL, TOEFL Junior or iTEP) and an official ISEE test report

All admitted students wishing to enroll, must submit the enrollment contract and non-refundable deposit. International students live with a host family, immersing themselves not only in that particular household, but also in the Canterbury School community and northeast Indiana. As a member of the host family household, international students are cared for as a member of the family and included in family meals, outings, and other experiences. Participating in the homestay program allows students to fully immerse themselves in American culture and family life. Hamden Edux will make all homestay arrangements and provide additional orientation, social, and cultural events for all of our international students. If you are interested in hosting a Canterbury School international student, please contact Mary Bridich at firstname.lastname@example.org.
