Middle School Scholar Challenge

The Middle School Scholar Challenge is an opportunity for area sixth graders to compete for scholarships to attend Canterbury Middle School beginning in their seventh grade year.

As many as eight scholarships of $2,000 annually ($4,000 for Canterbury Middle School) will be awarded toward tuition.

The morning of the Middle School Scholar Challenge, students will complete a standardized test and write an essay. All participating students and their parents will have the opportunity to schedule a conference to review the results.

While Grade 6 students are testing, parents will attend an information session from 9 to 10:30 a.m.; meet faculty and current students; tour the school; and learn about our college preparatory curriculum, athletics programs, fine arts opportunities and extracurricular activities.

After the Middle School Scholar Challenge, all participating students will schedule a return visit to Canterbury, and they'll complete an interview during their visit. Final award decisions will be based on the standardized test, written essay, online application (fee waived), school transcripts and personal interview.
