Extended Care & Enrichment Programs

Canterbury’s Enrichment, Extended Care and Extracurricular Programs offer additional educational and social programs to complement a student’s school day schedule.

High-level play and learning goals are integrated into the programs to promote intellectual curiosity, creativity and augment academic skills. Activities take place in the school’s Corner House and Club House.

Current parents can register students via Campbrain using the Bundle or A La Carte plan. After you register, you'll receive a confirmation email with an invoice. You can pay via credit card or check, or you can include your balance in your FACTS plan as an incidental-billing item. Payment is due prior to your next registration.

The Bundle Plan

This plan simplifies semester-long registration for Lunch Bunch, Discovery Time, ArtSci Conservatory or K-Prep Enrichment sessions, and you can include Early Bird and ABC Extended Care, on days in which your child attends school. The Bundle Plan offers half-day and full-day options, as well as a 10 percent discount over the A La Carte Plan (This discount cannot be applied to school tuition). You'll receive the discount during the Campbrain registration process.

The A La Carte Plan

The A La Carte plan allows you to select specific programs you want your child to experience each month. This plan is available to Early Childhood students, ages 2.5-years and older.

This creative, educational program contains a multi-skilled lesson based around a specific art activity. Depending on the project, activities can last one or multiple days. Each week, a new theme unwraps itself through books, music, games, photos and art. The program supports the premise that children’s art should come from their hands. Their artistic expressions are valuable and important in exploring new media and taking joy in creating.

The students learn to use lines, shapes, colors, patterns and painting techniques, and they develop fine motor skills, work in two and three dimensions, and learn art history. Nature, holidays and cultural differences are all inspirational to the projects.
