Make a Summer Connection

Dear Parents,

As a child, summer’s standing invitation to learn and explore was one I could never pass up. There were lazy days of playing outside barefooted, long afternoons of swimming and evenings of catching fireflies. But even better, were the times I could spend at camp. Camp was a place I could discover amazing things in a relaxed and fun environment. I loved meeting new friends, stretching my horizons and embracing the challenges that came wrapped in the package of camp.
This summer Canterbury’s Summer to Shine promises to be a unique time of personal learning and accomplishment for all who attend. As campers delve into learning from a different perspective, fun and inquiry are intermingled. Two-year-olds will be introduced to art and math in age-appropriate ways, while 3-year-olds will investigate physics and travel. School-age campers will dig into literature, drama, flight, puppetry and gymnastics, while middle schoolers embrace community service, sports and adventure.
Members of our Canterbury family will recognize some exciting changes in our offerings this summer as we continue to strive to bring the very best. If you are not a part of the Canterbury family, this is an invitation to “make a connection.” Let your child be a Canterbury student for a few weeks this summer as a part of Summer to Shine!
Our class sizes are limited, so register early to guarantee your space in the Summer to Shine programs. Please feel free to contact me at 260-432-7776 or
summertoshine@canterburyschool.org with questions or for more information.
Our camp, like the one in my youth, is, indeed, a distinct present. It is brightly wrapped in smiles of satisfaction, and “aha!” moments. It is tied with ribbons of wonder and discovery.

The gift is here…waiting to be opened,
