High School Dress Code

The aim of the dress code is to create an appropriate academic climate. The school believes that standards of neatness and modesty in clothing encourage an atmosphere conducive to learning, work and discipline. Furthermore, it is felt that pride in one’s school and oneself is, in part, influenced by appearance. All clothing worn to school must be in good repair.

Recognizing the ever-changing nature of fashion, the school reserves the right to make decisions about the appropriateness of specific clothing and appearance not covered below. The school will not deem appropriate any expressions such as unconventional use of hair coloring, adornments or immodest attire. The cooperation of parents and students in adhering to the letter and the spirit of the code is both expected and appreciated. Students not in dress code will be asked to change into appropriate clothing kept in the office or may be asked to have appropriate clothing delivered from home before returning to class, and students will be considered unexcused.
