Every Parent is a Member

Welcome to a new school year full of exciting and rewarding opportunities. At Canterbury, parents have the unique opportunity to get involved in many aspects of their children’s educational experience. One of these is parent volunteerism. Parent volunteerism is a key to the success of our school.

You may not realize it, but every parent is automatically a member of the Parent Association. Our role is to support the teachers and administration across each division through various grade level, division or school-wide events. The Parent Association has many exciting events planned for the 2012-2013 school year. All of these events are chaired by parent volunteers and rely on other parents to volunteer to get them accomplished.

Please take a moment to review and fill-out the Volunteer Opportunities Form provided within. Hard copies of completed forms can be returned directly to any school office or forms may be submitted online at www.canterburyschool.org/parents, click on Volunteer Opportunities.

Thank you in advance for sharing your time and talents. I hope you have the chance to see first-hand how rewarding volunteering your time can be for our children and our school. I look forward to seeing you this year and encourage you to attend the Parent Association meetings at the dates and times listed to the right. If you have any questions, comments, or ideas, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
