Every Parent is a Member

W elcome to a new year full of exciting opportunities. Canterbury School offers an exceptional environment where we, as parents, are welcomed to participate in our children’s learning. By doing so, we not only create special relationships with teachers and staff, but are also awarded lasting friendships with other families.  The 2015-2016 academic year will be filled with many occasions for you to become involved. I encourage everyone to take part in these precious days with your children, as they pass by much too quickly.

The Parent Association contributes to the education of our children through
enhancing communications and promoting involvement through volunteerism. While all parents of Canterbury School are members of the Parent Association, I personally hope that each of you will be active and express interest on the enclosed Volunteer Selection form, which may be returned to any school office. The form also may be completed by clicking: Volunteer Selection Form.

Any and all contributions of time significantly add to the Parent Associations efforts to support Canterbury School and your children’s education. We have an enthusiastic and committed group of parents heading up our Steering Committee this year and they would greatly appreciate any gift of time on your behalf.  If you have any questions regarding the volunteer opportunities, please do not hesitate to contact one of the Steering Committee Chairs or myself. I also invite you to stop by any of the Parent Association meetings, which provide information, updates and news about Canterbury School, and feature guest speakers.

Thank you in advance for taking the initiative to help create the best possible
educational experience and for sharing in these precious days.  I look forward to seeing you throughout the year and hope that you are able to experience the
rewards of volunteering at Canterbury School. May you make many special
memories with your children in the future days to come.

Sincerely,
Sarah Strassburger
