New Parents

Welcome to the "Parents" section of the Canterbury Web site. This section is one that you will use quite frequently as it holds the information you need to stay up-to-date

Getting Started

First, please send an e-mail to the school so your Parent Center login can be activated. Once the Webmaster has your account set-up (weekdays - within 24 hours), you will receive your password to login and instructions.

There are many options on the site through the secure Parents Center. This is a private section of the site accessible only to our current families. In the Parent Center you will find the parent and student directory, Teacher Pages (teacher bios and blogs) weekly newsletter entries and photo galleries. You may also set-up your own profile page, customize your calendar depending on the activities in which your child participates, and follow your favorite Canterbury sports teams.

Summer Reading Lists

Summer Reading lists are now posted for EC-MS. Just click on the link to your left in the navigation box.

Forms and School Supply Lists

Several mailings go out to parents over the summer with forms, lists and letters regarding the new school year. The largest mailing is called the "August Mailing." While we still send hard copies of the forms home via regular mail, you can access them in advance online. This is also a resource for families coming into the school mid-year. This section is currently being updated and should be complete in July.

School Handbooks

The new Parent & Student Handbooks for each division will be available online mid July.

E-Weekly Newsletter

This past school year we began sending the Weekly Newsletter home via e-mail to all families rather than through the regular mail due to the cost, environmental concerns, workload and slow mail delivery. Grandparents and students are also welcome to subscribe. The newsletter will begin arriving late August and continues until the first week in June. The news items from the Weekly Newsletter also appear in the secure Parent Center and under the main "Parents" tab. For families who do not have access to Internet, e-mail or a computer, we also have a paper version available.
