Soccer Seeks Sectional Success

Canterbury Boys' Soccer is seeking another Sectional Title this week, with the first game today at 5 p.m., here at Canterbury. 

John Shoppel, Elijah Pasalich, and Evan Komrska are three seniors on the Canterbury team this year.  

John Shoppell has been a student at Canterbury since Early Childhood. He has played soccer since he was five years old.

What's your favorite thing about playing on the Canterbury team?
My teammates

What are your expectations for the rest of this season?
To win some hardware 

What is your favorite Canterbury sports memory?
Winning state and going to state last year

What other Canterbury sports or activities are you involved in? Campus life 

Elijah Pasalich has been a student at Canterbury for 14 years. He's been on the Canterbury soccer team all four years of high school.

What's your favorite thing about playing on the Canterbury team?
The bond that we all create as teammates is my favorite part. I know that my teammates are always there for me.
 
What are your expectations for the rest of this season?
We all have a fun postseason and hopefully we win.
 
What is your favorite Canterbury sports memory?
Scoring my first goal in my last home game as a senior.
 
What other Canterbury sports or activities are you involved in?
I also play basketball and golf and run the business club.

Evan Komrska has only been a Canterbury student for two months, but he has played soccer for eight years.

What's your favorite thing about playing on the Canterbury team?
My favorite thing is the high level of competition. 

What are your expectations for the rest of this season? 
I expect us to win state.

What is your favorite Canterbury sports memory?
My favorite Canterbury sports moment is my first goal for Canterbury.
