K-Prep Art Show a Canterbury Classic

Their inspiration came from artists like Andy Warhol, Edgar Degas, and Wassily Kandinsky, and they were ready to show the world their incredible artistic talent last week. Canterbury's K-Prep students presented their artwork in the K-Prep Art Show and impressed everyone in attendance. Learn more about each K-Prep artist below.

Isabella “Bella” Boone is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is five and a half years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for her whimsical and wispy brushstrokes, Boone’s favorite subject matter is portraiture. Boone has been most inspired by the abstract works of Yayoi Kusama. Someday, Bella Boone would like to become a mom and a lifeguard, but currently her time is spent drinking lemonade on her swing set.  

Iain Budd is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is six years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for his striking oil pastel drawings, Budd's favorite subjects to depict are superheros. Budd has been most inspired by the bold lines of Keith Haring. Someday, Iain Budd would like to become a racecar mechanic, but his current interest is playing games and Roblox.

Teresa “Tess” Dixon is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is five and a half years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for her rock and natural material sculptures, Dixon’s favorite subject matter to depict is different places around the world. Dixon has been most inspired by the abstract works of Wassily Kandinsky. Someday, Tess Dixon would like to become an artist that makes lots of swirly lines, straight lines, abstract lines, and diagonal lines, but currently her time is spent painting, playing on her bike, getting energy, and running.  

Sebastian Hollenback is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is six years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for his recycled material sculptures, Hollenback's favorite subject to depict is chips. Hollenback has been most inspired by the bold lines of Keith Haring. Someday, Sebastian Hollenback would like to make spirals, but his current interest is reading.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Hugenberg is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is six years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for her creative paint marker and construction paper creations, Hugenberg’s favorite subject matter is people. Hugenberg has been most inspired by the bold lines of Keith Haring. Someday, Jacqueline Hugenberg would like to become a veterinarian, but her current interest is playing Element Cats. 

Rachel Israbian is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is five years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for her bold watercolor paintings, Israbian's favorite subject matter is people. She is inspired by the bold lines of Keith Haring. Someday, Rachel Israbian would like to become a heart doctor, but her current interest is swimming in her pool.

Wyatt Nelson is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is six years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for his recycled material sculptures with wheels and metal, Nelson's favorite subject to depict is bats. Nelson has been most inspired by the bold lines of Keith Haring. Someday, Wyatt Nelson would like to become a magic guy, but his current interests are going to the park, building stuff, and having peace and quiet.

Elliott Ottenweller is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is six years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for his recycled material sculptures, Ottenweller's favorite subject to depict is superheros. Ottenweller has been most inspired by the art of his older brother, Henry. Someday, Elliott Ottenweller would like to become a music composer, but his current interest is playing with legos.

Aliza Roth is a successful young artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is five and a half years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for her sculptures created from boxes, colored paper and markers, Roth’s favorite subject matter is tigers, elephants, cats, dogs, and lions. Roth has been most inspired by the artwork of her dad. Someday, Aliza Roth would like to become a candy shop keeper and a store keeper, but currently her time is spent making art, playing games, and playing Simon Says.  

Judah Buchanan is a successful young artist residing in California. He is six years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for his recycled material sculptures, Buchanan's favorite subject to depict is dinosaurs. Buchanan has been most inspired by all the different artists studied in KPrep. Someday, Judah Buchanan would like to become a track runner, but his current interest is riding his bike.

James Francois is a successful young artist residing in Florida. He is five and a half years old and attends Kindergarten Prep at Canterbury School. Best known for his marker drawings, Francois's favorite subject to depict is animals. Francois has been most inspired by the pop artist Andy Warhol. Someday, James Francois would like to become a veterinarian, but his current interests are swimming with his swim coach, scootering and biking, thinking up stories, and watching cartoons.
