News Brief: Halloween Activity

Looking for a safe Halloween activity for the whole family?
The community is invited to follow the yellow brick road on October 31 to see the Wizard of Oz at Canterbury High School’s Summers Auditorium, 3210 Smith Road. The evening will begin with a free light supper of ghoulish hot dogs and drinks from 6:30-7:15 p.m. The musical begins at 7:30 p.m. Children Middle School-age and younger will see the musical for free. Adult tickets are $8 and HS tickets are $5. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to help set the mood for this magical and spooky musical. RSVP today at 407-3553 or jantalis@canterburyschool.org for the free light supper.

Canterbury Lower School students celebrate Fort Wayne's birthday with Mayor Tom Henry and introduce the book they are writing and hope to publish, "Fort Wayne Through the Eyes of a Child." The event takes place Wednesday, October 22, at 2:30 p.m. at Canterbury School, 5601 Covington Road.
There will be the song, "Happy Birthday to Fort Wayne" and a cake as well.
