Lower School Uniform Dress

 


Kindergarten Prep - Grade 4

All students in K-Prep – Grade 4 wear a daily uniform, which is outlined below. Styles and colors for all uniform items must comply with those found in the Lands’ End School Uniform Catalog, which is available online and also in the Lower School office. Canterbury's school code for Lands' End is 900026386 - please use this code if you order from them.

NOTE: Uniform items may also be found in stores such as Target, Sears, Kohls, JC Penney and WalMart, although styles/sizes for items such as pants, skirts and jumpers do become picked over quickly in the actual stores. You may want to check the online sites for these stores for their complete collections.





 BOYS

  • Navy slacks (no cargo style)
  • Navy shorts (no cargo style)
  • Shirts with full fold-over collars, dress or knit, in white, light blue, yellow, pink, navy or evergreen (shirts of all kinds must be tucked in, no chambray fabric)
  • Navy, white, evergreen or yellow sweaters (v-neck or crew neck) with a collared shirt
  • Shoes or sneakers (no sandals or backless shoes, shoes must have closed toes and backs)
  • Navy or white socks
  • Canterbury School sweatshirts only (purchased from the school store) with collared shirts

 


GIRLS

  • Navy jumpers
  • Navy skirts or culottes
  • Navy slacks or capris (no cargo, hip-hugger or flare-bottom style)
  • Navy shorts (no cargo style)
  • Shirts with full fold-over collars, dress or knit, in white, light blue, yellow, pink, navy or evergreen (shirts of all kinds must be tucked in, no chambray fabric)
  • Navy, white, evergreen or yellow sweaters (v-neck or crew neck) with a collared shirt
  • Shoes or sneakers(no sandals, clogs, flip flops, shoes must have closed toes and backs)
  • Navy or white tights, socks or knee-highs (solid only, no patterns)
  • Canterbury School sweatshirts only (purchased from school store) with collared shirts
  • SKIRTS, DRESSES AND SHORTS MUST BE AT LEAST MID-THIGH LENGTH

 


WEDNESDAY IS "SCHOOL DRESS"

  • At Canterbury Wednesdays are special, so the “school dress” is navy bottoms and white tops for all students. Also, this is what students will wear on days they take field trips, unless directed otherwise by their teacher.

What Not to Wear?


  • Hats or headwear of any type
  • Blue jeans or any denim fabric
  • Athletic shorts or jerseys
  • Warm-up suits and sweat pants
  • Cargo, hip-hugger or flare-bottom pants
  • Jean jackets
  • T-shirts
  • Shirts with laces, bows, sparkles, contrasting color of collar, or any other “decoration”
  • Any shoes with open toes or that are backless
  • Platform shoes of any type
  • Apparel that does not cover the midriff, spaghetti straps, halters, bare shoulder tops or dresses
  • Shorts, dresses or skirts higher than mid-thigh

 


PE CLOTHING


  • Every student must have a physical education uniform consisting of a Canterbury T-shirt, athletics shorts, white athletics socks and gym shoes (no platform sneakers).
  • Students should also have sweatshirts, sweatpants and socks at school at all times in case it is cooler when the children have gym class outdoors.


CAVALIER CLOTHING COMPANY



  • The Canterbury Parent Association operates a bookstore as a service to  Canterbury families.  Canterbury logo wear is available here.
  • The bookstore hours will be announced in the Canterbury newsletter. Items will be available for sale at many of the beginning of the school year functions.
  • Items may be ordered at any time through the Lower School office.
