Excellence cannot stand still.
By any standard Canterbury School has enjoyed remarkable successes in its short history, yet we must continue to move forward by responding to changing needs both at school and in the world.
In 2002, the Board of Trustees undertook two significant initiatives as part of the school's strategic planning process. First a campus master plan was created to enable Canterbury's facilities to support current programs and enrollment. Second, a comprehensive financial plan was developed to ensure that sound fiscal decisions guide the school's short and long-term commitments. What has emerged is a road map designed to direct the school over the next 10 years, representing the combined vision of board members, parents, administrators, alumni and faculty.
The accomplishment of this vision will be made through A Legacy of Learning - the campaign for Canterbury. This is a commitment to raise $12 million over the next three to five years to fund the campus master plan and reach important endowment objectives. This initiative identifies the projects necessary for Canterbury School to continue to lead the way to a future of demonstrated educational excellence.
