    In a first-of-its-kind event here at Canterbury, YOU are invited to exhibit a world culture, February 20 from 1–3 p.m. at the Middle School.
    We are looking for families from all school divisions who are willing to create an exhibit celebrating your nationality and cultural values. The exhibits will be displayed in one exposition that will allow our students to revel in world histories and traditions that may typically only be displayed at home or in a house of worship.

    MAGGARD NOMINATED FOR ALL AMERICAN GAMES

    McDonald's announced its list of 823 high school seniors who have been nominated to play in the 2015 McDonald's All American Games. The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls selected for the games will be unveiled during the McDonald's All American Games selection show on ESPNU, airing Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. Canterbury's Darby Maggard is one of the nominees. The McDonald's All American Games will be played April 1 at the United Center in Chicago. Darby was interviewed this week for an episode of UP Close with AWP's Geoff King. Click the link above to see this inspiring interview and how Darby portrays an "Attitude of Gratitude" (she earned this Cav-E award designation last spring). Darby has signed with Belmont University to attend college in the fall and to play Division I women's basketball.

  • HEADMASTER JONATHAN HANCOCK ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT PLANS FOR 2016

    On December 17, 2014, Todd Stephenson, chairman of the Canterbury School Board of Trustees, announced that Headmaster Jonathan Hancock will retire at the end of the 2015-2016 school year. Mr. Hancock has served the school for 33 years as the Headmaster. He also teaches seventh grade Latin. When Mr. Hancock began at Canterbury in 1982, the school had an enrollment of 220 students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Today this independent, college preparatory school has an enrollment of 1,037 and serves students age 2 through Grade 12.
