Summer Classes

During the first three weeks of summer break, Canterbury students may elect to take any or all of their freshmen and sophomore "block" courses.

Students entering ninth grade, may take the following summer courses:

  • Physical Education
  • Computer
  • Health
  •  Religion

Students entering 10th grade may take these summer courses:

  • Religion
  • Physical Education
  • Speech Concepts
  • Writing Workshop

Classes are two hours in length. Given the intensive nature of the classes, attendance is expected.  Classes are taught by Canterbury faculty members.

Students often elect to take summer classes to make room in their schedule for fine arts classes or to double up in one of the academic disciplines such as math or foreign language.
