Gifts of cash are the most common form of support. Checks should be made payable to Canterbury School and sent directly to:
Business OfficeCanterbury School
3210 Smith Road
Fort Wayne, IN 46804
Credit Card
Annual fund gifts by Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Call 260-436-8786 to make a credit card gift by phone, or visit our secure online giving page.
Pledge
Instead of making an immediate gift, you can pledge a gift to the annual fund and make your gift at a later date. A pledge to the annual fund is a promise to give a gift of a specific amount by June 30. Pledges can be made online or by mail, e-mail or phone.
Securities
Frequently, the most economical way to give – when one calculates the added tax savings – is to make a gift of appreciated securities that you have held for more than one year. To make a gift of securities, please call or e-mail the development office for detailed instructions at 260-436-8786 or mmorgan@canterburyschool.org.
Matching Gifts
Many corporations have matching gift programs for their employees and retirees who support nonprofit organizations, including Canterbury School. Check with your human resource department and ask for a matching gift form. Simply compete the employee’s section, enclose it with your gift, and we will do the rest.
Gift-in-Kind
Canterbury welcomes items of tangible personal property that can be used in one of the school’s programs. Donors can receive a charitable deduction for the item’s market value. Please contact the development office at 260-436-8786.
Planned Gifts
There are several types of gifts designed to support the school at some point in the future, such as naming the school as a beneficiary in one’s will. Click on Planned Giving for more information about the most popular types of planned gifts.
Volunteer
Your time, service and enthusiasm are some of the best gifts you can give to the school. Parent and grandparent volunteers have been a hallmark of our school since its founding in 1977, when seven families set out to organize the school we have today. Volunteering can mean helping in the cafeteria, being one of Santa's elves at the Jingle Bell Boutique, giving a tour to a new family or many other options. We need and value our volunteers -- dedicated parents, grandparents, alumni and friends -- who together make our school a community.
Please fill out our brief Volunteer Form to indicate your interest, and a representative from the Canterbury Parent Association will contact you to discuss how you can be involved.
For additional information on any of the above, please contact Director of Development Myrna Morgan at 260-436-8786 or mmorgan@canterburyschool.org.
