American College Test (ACT)

Eighty-eight percent of the Class of 2006 took the ACT, achieving a mean composite score of 26.9 (national average: 21.1).

National Merit Scholars

Typically, about one-fifth of the students in each graduating class are recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program either as finalists, semifinalists or commended scholars, including 16 of 63 students in the Class of 2006.

Advanced Placement (AP) Testing
The AP Exam is required for all students enrolled in AP courses at Canterbury; 104 students wrote 243 AP exams in May 2006. Out of a possible score of 5, 93 percent earned 3 or higher; 70 percent earned scores of 4 or 5.
