CANTERBURY THIS WEEK September 30, 2017 | Issue 3 WHY DOES MRS. REEVES LOVE MUSIC? Patricia Reeves is new to Canterbury this year. She teaches Early Childhood Music and Library. Her love of music began when she was just a girl, growing up in a musical household. She credits her flute playing to Star Wars (you'll have to watch the video). She is a firm believer that music has a healing power and can change people's lives. Mrs. Reeves introduces Canterbury's youngest students to percussion based instruments, body movement and dance, and vocalization through song and poetry. In this 2-minute video you'll see inside the classroom and hear about music's tie to math and science. Watch at www.canterburyschool.org/students-parents/news.
