Cultural Expo adds sports and performances
The 3rd annual Cultural Expo hosted by Canterbury Middle School will take place Wednesday, March 22, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Middle School Library. About 24 countries will be represented, and this year we have added performances and sports which take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in the cafeteria, commons and gym. The Lower School and Middle School students will tour the exhibits and participate in sports (Rugby and Net Ball) and performances. Canterbury families and some of our international students volunteered to create exhibits based on their cultures to share with the students in this unique, hands-on social studies lesson celebrating world cultures. Greek dancing, Japanese performance, Chinese performance, games, music and food are all part of the celebration. We extended the hours of the exhibits this year so more parents could stop by to join in the celebration of world cultures at Canterbury.
