Laughing Cavalier Special Focus Fund Video

And the Oscar goes to...YOU! Watch the Laughing Cavalier Special Focus Fund Video - Preparing for the Future, which highlights the importance and need for ever-changing technology in today's interconnected world. Film teacher Adam King and Oscar winning students created the special video shown at the Laughing Cavalier, which made the evening truly memorable. The Special Focus Fund raised $60,900 for educational technology during the Live Auction event and donations are still coming in via a special form on the school website. Participants raised their paddles for donations of $50 all the way to $10,000 to help expand Canterbury's educational technology program.

Canterbury High School captured first place at the TEAM+S engineering competition at Trine University. Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science (TEAM+S) is an annual competition for students designed to help them discover their potential for engineering. During this one-day competition, students apply math and science knowledge in practical, creative ways to solve real-world engineering challenges. The 2017 competition, "Engineering the Environment,"  explores areas such as energy efficiency, geothermal heatpumps and wastewater treatment. Pictured are Abby Harrison, Connor Loechner, Liam Fuderer, David Jiang, Mr. Walda, Ben Elliott, Ryan Boyd, Hao Zeng and Sam Witwer.
