Outdoor Education is an important part of the Early Childhood curriculum. In a time nationally, when children do not spend as much time outside as they did in past generations, our teachers have the opportunity to take the classroom outside.
We gather in the gazebo in Lili’s Garden and learn about nature, seasons, animals, plants and trees. Our young children need to learn early to appreciate our earth and the outdoors close to home. Lili’s Garden is designed with a child in mind. We have perennials, wildflowers, herbs, lilies, above- and below-ground vegetables, butterflies, and five-sense sections that encourage children to engage all of their sensory abilities.
Along with Lili’s Garden, we have two nature trails at the High School campus, which bring new discoveries to each class several times throughout the year.
